Support Still Available — Adaptive & Assistive Equipment

The end of the school year has arrived, but we want to remind educators and staff that funding is still available—thanks to the generous support of the Tilles Foundation—for Adaptive and Assistive Equipment for students aging out of the Special School District (SSD) this year.

“The adult stroller has helped my daughter at school with transitions and its helping us immensely when we take her out to community. We are extremely thankful and grateful to Special Education Foundation. It has helped our family so much.” ~Ishwarya S.

“The ipad helps my son talk and recognize things better. It makes my life so much easier!” ~Danielle G.

The Special Education Foundation’s Adaptive & Assistive Equipment Program is designed to help students with disabilities access tools and resources that enhance their quality of life and promote greater independence. From communication devices and sensory tools to mobility aids and specialized classroom supports, this program helps bridge the gap when insurance or budgets fall short.

We are currently accepting applications through June 30, and requests can be fulfilled before the end of this school year. If you know of a student who could benefit, please help us ensure they don’t miss out on this opportunity.
