About the Tournament & Auction

For more than two decades, the Dan McLaughlin Charity Golf Tournament & Auction has been one of the Special Education Foundation’s most anticipated fundraising events. Each year, community members, corporate partners, and supporters come together for a day of golf, giving, and goodwill—all to help students with disabilities served by the Special School District of St. Louis County.

What began as a day on the golf course has grown into one of the Special Education Foundation’s most impactful fundraising traditions. From mobility equipment and hearing aids to social skill development and classroom innovation grants, the proceeds from this event make a tangible difference in students’ lives every year.

With the continued support of our sponsors, donors, and volunteers, this event has raised millions of dollars to help children achieve greater independence and success in school and in life. The Special Education Foundation is pleased to announce the 24th Annual Dan McLaughlin Charity Golf Tournament and Auction on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Norwood Hill Country Club. All proceeds benefit SEF and children with disabilities.

The Special Education Foundation (SEF) relies entirely on private donations to fund programs that support students with disabilities—and we need your help to make a difference!

Ways to Get Involved:
✔ Become a Sponsor – Enjoy exclusive benefits, including recognition in the event invitation, program, on the golf course, in the clubhouse, on SEF’s website, and social media. Sponsorships help maximize our impact!
✔ Donate an Item or Gift Certificate – Contribute to our auction and help raise crucial funds for SEF’s programs.
✔ Attend the Tournament Happy Hour – Gather your friends and family for a fantastic day of golf, or join us for the Happy Hour and Live Auction. 

Sponsorships: Sponsorships are still being accepted up until the tournament in October, but some promotional opportunities—such as signage or inclusion in printed materials—may no longer be available. SEF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, making all donations tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Proceeds from the tournament support the Foundation’s mission to empower students with disabilities—providing resources, equipment, and opportunities that help them reach their full potential.
