We are so grateful for the incredible generosity of donors who donated to SEF on Giving Tuesday earlier this week.
Dozens of contributions came in on the days leading up to and on the global day of giving this year to support the programs SEF provides to support students, families, and educators in the Special School District of St. Louis County community.
Nearly $7,000 was contributed to support our Classroom Innovation Grant program. This week’s “Thing One” highlights some of the creative projects we have funded through the programs that help thousands of SSD students each year.
In addition, our partners with the Special School District encouraged donations on their Facebook page to support our Critical Needs Coat Drive. We received several contributions this week to support this important fundraising campaign.
We know that your email inbox may have looked downright scary over this past week as you were bombarded with Cyber Monday and Black Friday ads, as well as numerous appeals from nonprofits on Giving Tuesday.
With that said, it is highly gratifying for people to open, read, and donate after receiving an email from us.
While the idea behind Giving Tuesday is a way to rally people to think about philanthropy, the reason people donate is because they care about the cause they are supporting and want to help make a difference.
When you donate to SEF, your dollars will go into assisting students with disabilities achieve success and become more independent.
That’s why you give.
And we are incredibly thankful if you’ve chosen to support us with a generous donation. If you’ve never given, or it’s been a while since you’ve made a donation, or you want to make a gift before the end of the year, you can donate online.
You can also donate to support SEF via text message by texting “classroomgrants” to 50155 or mail your donation to:
