Unlock the Power of Your IRA for Good

Your donation helps children with disabilities

Provide tax-advantaged giving directly from your IRA!

Are you 70½ or older and required to take Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from your IRA? Consider a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to benefit the Special Education Foundation.

What is a QCD?

A QCD allows you to transfer funds from your IRA directly to a qualified charity, such as the Special Education Foundation. The best part? The distribution is excluded from your taxable income.

How Does it Work?

  1. Age Requirement: You must be 70½ or older.
  2. Account Type: The distribution must come from an IRA
  3. Direct Transfer: The funds must be transferred directly from your IRA to the Foundation.
  4. Annual Limit: There's a $105,000 annual limit per individual ($210,000 for married couples).
  5. No Goods or Services: You cannot receive any goods or services in exchange for your donation.

Benefits of a QCD:

  • Tax Savings: Avoids income tax on the distribution.
  • RMD Satisfaction: Counts towards your annual RMD.
  • Charitable Impact: Supports a worthy cause.

Ready to Make a Difference?

Contact your IRA administrator to initiate a QCD and designate the Special Education Foundation as the recipient. Our mailing address is 11933 Westline Industrial Drive, Saint Louis, MO 63146. SEF's Tax ID number is 43-1328026.
