Thanks to our Golfers, Sponsors, Donors, Volunteers, and Vendors

On Monday, the morning started off a bit brisk, but the day turned into a beautiful fall day, perfect for the 22nd Annual Dan McLaughlin Charity Golf Tournament and Auction.

The event is the Special Education Foundation's largest fundraiser of the year.

Hundreds of golfers, volunteers, Fred Bird, and even a few skeletons participated to raise money for the foundation's mission of supporting students with disabilities in St. Louis County.

We are still tallying up the totals from the festivities, but it's clear that this year's tournament was one of the best in the 22 years since Dan McLaughlin proposed holding a golf tournament to help students who receive services from the Special School District.

Since 2003, the event has raised over $5.5 million for SEF to invest in students.

This year's Fund-A-Need “paddle raise” focused on raising funds for The Mobility Project, a new initiative designed to help physically challenged students gain greater independence and mobility in and out of school by acquiring the skills to operate a powered wheelchair.

Thanks to a generous matching donation from the Toombs family, attendees at the Tournament raised enough funds to help SEF purchase at least two of these expensive devices.

The video and booklet provide more details on this critical initiative for SEF.

The day was filled with generosity, fellowship, and fun.

We're grateful to everyone who attended, sponsored, and donated items for our auctions. Our amazing volunteers also deserve a special thank you, as this massive event would be impossible to pull off each year without their help.
