SEF would like to express our sincere gratitude for your presence and support at the recent Inspiring Futures event held at the Emerson Auditorium at St Lukes Hospital on May 9. It was truly a remarkable evening filled with celebration, recognition, and an abundance of joy.

Together with families from across the District, we came together to applaud the John Cary Scholarship recipients and SSD Rosemary Zander awards, celebrating all for their outstanding achievements.

Named after the late superintendent, John Cary, this $5,000 scholarship honors his unwavering commitment to excellence and his tireless advocacy for students with disabilities. The following students were scholarship recipients:

Shayneisha Allen of Parkway Central High School

Parkway School District

Elle Bryant of Ladue Horton Watkins High School

Ladue School District

Anna Jones of Brentwood High School

Mia Magaña of Oakville Senior High School

Trenton Watkins of Parkway North High School

The John Cary Scholarship embodies qualities that John Cary himself deeply admired — resilience, courage, and determination. Our scholarship recipients exemplify these traits and showcase their potential for future success through their academic achievements, leadership roles, community involvement, and excellence in various endeavors, including athletics and the arts.
