Unlock a Summer Adventure: Apply for a Campership Today!

Every child deserves the chance to experience the joys of summer camp – the laughter around the playground, the thrill of outdoor adventures, and the friendships that last a lifetime. However, for children with disabilities, accessing these enriching experiences can often seem out of reach. SEF is committed to helping to bridge the academic gap by providing financial support and encouragement for children served by the Special School District with our Kid-to-Camp program.

Encouraging families to apply for funding is a part of our mission. Many families may be unaware of the financial support available to them or may feel overwhelmed by the application process. We offer support and guidance to families throughout the application process, answering questions and helping them navigate any challenges they may encounter.

With the limited funding we are able to provide, we review each application based on student benefit, financial need, to ensure we are assisting those who need it the most.

Through our foundation, we highlight the experiences of children with disabilities who have benefited from our funding support to attend camp. These stories serve as powerful testimonials, showcasing the transformative impact that camp can have on a child's life. By sharing these stories, we not only celebrate the achievements of individual children but also inspire others to apply for funding and pursue their own camp adventures.

“William loved that all the fun activities were all accessible at camp,” said Mom. “He could zipline, swim, everything. He also loved that all the kids/teens there used talkers! I think the Kid-to-Camp program is amazing. Without the funding, we would have had to cut corners elsewhere to make it work. This would have been difficult on our family and affected our younger boys. It was so easy that the financial aspect was taken out of the picture, allowing us to only focus on the needs of our son and the excitement of camp!”

As we gear up for another summer of empowering children with disabilities to attend camp, we invite you to join us in our Kid-to-Camp mission. Whether through donations or spreading the word about our foundation and funding opportunities, your support can make a tangible difference in the lives of these children. Consider donating to help us to send more kids to camp. Together, we can break down barriers, create opportunities, and empower every child to experience the magic of camp.
