Creating Leadership Opportunities for Students

students standing with County Executive Sam Page

Join the 2024-2025 Fred Saigh Leadership Academy and unlock a world beyond the classroom! We're on the lookout for high school students with leadership potential to participate on a transformative year of training. Our curriculum not only cultivates essential leadership skills but also engages students in addressing real community issues.

Upon completion of the program, students return to their school ready to take charge – campaigning for school offices, managing projects, and assuming leadership roles. The journey concludes with a graduation ceremony where they’ll share their most impactful experiences and the profound impact the program has had on their lives.

As part of the program, they get the exciting opportunity to explore key sites and meet influential leaders in the metropolitan area. Imagine visiting the St. Louis County Executive’s Office, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and even the State Capitol in Jefferson City, Missouri. Don't miss out on this chance to broaden your horizons and become a leader in your community! Apply now for the Fred Saigh Leadership Academy.

Students selected are those who demonstrate leadership potential through academics, school activities, volunteer work and community involvement.

Students looking to join the 2024-2025 program can apply online now through February 20, 2024. Teachers must also nominate their students using this form and include a letter of recommendation.
