The Special School District Family and Community Engagement’s (FACE) mission is to partner with students, families, and staff to support students' specialized academic, social, and emotional needs to promote self-determination, equitable opportunities, and authentic inclusion. They have a variety of events happening this year, and SEF would like to share their resources with you.
The next Family Cafe is on November 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the North Tech High School Library, at 1700 Derhake Road, Florissant, MO 63033.
Families play host to cafes that cater to families, offering a secure and inviting environment where parents and caregivers can come together to foster connections and gain insights from one another. These gatherings are built around the core principles of the Strengthening Families Five Protective Factors:
- Resilience
- Relationships
- Knowledge
- Support
- Communication
Light refreshments will be served. Reserve your spot today! For questions, email face@ssdmo.org or call the Resource Hub at 314-989-7683.
FACE is also hosting a Hub Huddle on November 17 at noon, located inside North Tech High School at 1700 Derhake Road, Florissant, MO 63033. The purpose of these Hub Huddles is to offer resources, valuable information, and extra assistance to families within the SSD community by involving SSD’s collaborative partners.
