Powered by the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis, SEF brings Carmela Full of Wishes by Alvaro Saar Rios based on the book of the same name by Matt de la Peña. ¡Feliz cumpleaños! It’s Carmela’s birthday, and she’s finally old enough to tag along with her big brother while he runs errands. As they journey through their vibrant neighborhood, past familiar sights like the busy bus stop, the local repair shop, and the panadería, Carmela discovers a single dandelion growing in the pavement outside the Laundromat. But before she can blow its delicate seeds into the wind, her brother reminds her of the importance of making a wish. If only she could find the perfect wish…
