About the Kid-to-Camp Program
The Special Education Foundation understands that bridging the instructional gap during breaks in the school year is critical. SEF’s Kid-to-Camp program provides financial assistance to parents of children served by the Special School District so they can attend camp during these breaks in the school year. Please read our Kid-to-Camp Policy for request guidelines.
Area camp programs help to maintain the momentum and benefits to students beyond the social and educational aspects of the classroom. Attending camp provides opportunities to interact with others, develop friendships, and build relationships that can increase confidence and independence.

While the additional expense can be a financial burden for many families, SEF picks up in areas not supported by tax dollars or United Way. Campership funds are awarded based on financial need and student benefit and many are funded through our annual golf tournament. Applications are accepted year-round.
