How Employer Matching Works
Employer matching gifts are donations made by your company to match the charitable contributions you make. After you donate to the Special Education Foundation, simply submit a matching gift request through your employer. Once the gift is verified, your company sends a matching contribution—doubling or even tripling your impact for students with disabilities.
Request a Matching Gift in 6 Easy Steps
1. Donate to the Special Education Foundation — online, by check, or credit card.
2. Check your employer’s participation — use our matching gift search tool to see if your company matches donations.
3. Access your employer’s matching gift form or portal.
4. Complete the form — include your donation details and our nonprofit information (name, address, EIN).
5. Submit the request to your employer.
6. Employer sends the match — once your gift is verified, your employer issues the matching contribution.
Why Matching Gifts Make a Difference
Matching gifts help us provide adaptive equipment, classroom innovation grants to SSD educators, and support for other specialized programs for students with disabilities. By submitting a matching gift request, you’re not just giving once—you’re multiplying the impact of your support and helping more students thrive.
