The 18th Annual Dan McLaughlin Golf Tournament to benefit the Special Education Foundation will be held Monday, October 12, 2020. The raffle is ongoing until October 12 at 5 p.m. Golf and raffle winners will be announced during our Critical Needs Hour.

To protect the safety of our guests, Norwood has instituted the following procedures. They are subject to change based on conditions closer to the event.

  • Golfers will be limited to 224, so first come, first served, and we’re nearly at capacity.

  • All golfers will be assigned tee times beginning at 8 a.m. and every 10 minutes thereafter. Last tee time will be 11:10.

  • Golfers will be notified of their scheduled tee times by email.

  • Golfers will be assigned two to a cart; single carts will be available on request. Contact by September 23.

  • Golfers will be required to wear masks, which may be removed once they are on the course while maintaining 6’ social distance.

  • All golfers and volunteers will be required to complete a Covid-19 waiver.

  • Four player scramble

  • Proper golf attire and soft spikes only

There will be boxed brunches and a beverage bar on the patio during registration. Plenty of drinks and snacks will be available on the course throughout the day.

The golf tournament will occur, but the dinner/auction will not. That portion of the event has been a major part of our fundraising effort for the year, so we need your help more than ever so we can continue our efforts to maximize the potential of students with disabilities. In lieu of the dinner/auction, we’re holding a virtual event.

Join our live stream at 6 p.m. on October 12 at We promise to entertain and inform you. Dan McLaughlin and other celebrities will be on the program. We’ll announce the GOLF WINNERS, so be sure to tune in. And we’ll draw the RAFFLE WINNERS. Paula Berner and Friends will perform music. Students with disabilities will tell you how they’ve benefited from our programs and services. Mostly we’ll be asking for your support so we can keep providing the programs that help to maximize the potential of students with disabilities. Register early at
