The Arbeiter “Gift of Sound” event will be held Thursday, June 4 at 6:00 p.m. at the National Museum of Transporation to benefit Special Education Foundation and children who are deaf or hard of hearing. You can register for the event or sign up for a sponsorship online now.
All proceeds from the event will support SEF and its mission to give children who are deaf or hard of hearing the gift of sound, thus helping those students served by Special School District (SSD) achieve success in and beyond the classroom.
Dianne Arbeiter was a 25-year SSD employee who headed the deaf and hard of hearing program. She lost her battle with cancer in 2001. Her dedication to students with hearing disabilities inspired her co-workers and family to organize an evening to honor Dianne’s commitment to the students she served. The “Gift of Sound” event promises to be an exciting evening of fabulous entertainment and great food. Rumors Acoustic Combo, featuring Paula Berner, will perform and Billy G’s will provide delicious, heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Tickets to attend are $100, and all proceeds benefit SEF.
