As a tribute to late superintendent of Special School District of St. Louis County John Cary, Special Education Foundation established its major donor society in his honor in June 2015. The John Cary Society endeavors to perpetuate the generous spirit of John Cary, who gave tirelessly of his time to students, parents and staff and extended a generous hand to the Foundation. This effort will enhance programs and services that help children and youth with disabilities succeed in areas not supported by tax dollars.
The John Cary Society is comprised of six levels of annual giving:
Adaptive Equipment – $7,500
Scholarships – $5,000
Hearing Aids – $2,500
Mini-grants – $1,000
Leadership – $500
Campership – $250
Donors may sponsor a teacher for membership in the John Cary Society. Gifts may be made in one payment, semi-annually, quarterly or monthly for 10 months. To make a gift or for more information, contact the Special Education Foundation at 314-394-7030 or via the Contact page.
